Position Summary:
- Strategic Data Leadership: Define and lead the execution of a comprehensive enterprise data strategy that aligns with GoHealth’s long-term business objectives and operational goals.
- Architectural Vision: Design and implement a forward-looking enterprise data architecture that supports data-driven decision-making across all levels of the organization, ensuring scalability, flexibility, and integration.
- Collaboration & Influence: Partner with executive leadership, IT, data governance, and business units to align data initiatives with business needs. Influence and inspire cross-functional teams to adopt and integrate best practices in data management.
- Data Governance Excellence: Establish and enforce data governance policies, standards, and frameworks that ensure data integrity, consistency, and security across all platforms. Collaborate with the Data Governance Manager to ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal standards.
- Innovative Technology Solutions: Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of cutting-edge data technologies and tools, with a focus on Snowflake as the primary data warehouse. Ensure our data infrastructure is equipped to meet future demands.
- Enterprise Data Integration: Oversee the seamless integration of diverse data sources, ensuring that data flows efficiently across systems and departments, and that the architecture supports real-time and batch processing needs.
- Security & Compliance Leadership: Ensure that all data architecture components comply with the highest standards of data security, privacy, and regulatory requirements, safeguarding patient and organizational data.
- Technical Proficiency: Utilize programming languages such as Python, SQL, and others to design, optimize, and implement data solutions. Ensure that the data architecture supports advanced analytics and data science initiatives.
- Mentorship & Development: Serve as a mentor and leader within the Data Services team, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and excellence. Guide and develop junior architects and data professionals, building a strong, future-ready team.
- Thought Leadership: Stay at the forefront of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in enterprise data architecture. Serve as a thought leader within and outside of GoHealth, representing the organization in industry forums and contributing to the advancement of the data architecture field.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree or advanced certifications in data architecture or enterprise architecture is highly preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in data architecture, enterprise architecture, or data management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale data architecture initiatives in a complex, multi-site organization.
- Technical Mastery: Deep expertise in data modeling, database design, data integration, and cloud-based data solutions with a focus on Snowflake as the primary data warehouse. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and others.
- Leadership & Vision: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence senior stakeholders, and drive strategic data initiatives from concept to execution. A visionary thinker who can translate complex technical concepts into actionable strategies.
- Communication Excellence: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences. Proven ability to build consensus and drive adoption of data strategies across diverse teams.
- Certifications: Industry-recognized certifications such as TOGAF, Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), or Snowflake certifications are highly desirable.
