Dignity Health-GoHealth Urgent Care and United Airlines Launch Rapid Onsite Testing for Passengers at SFO
With GoHealth’s help, United was the first airline to announce it will make rapid COVID-19 testing available to travelers
SAN FRANCISCO – October 15, 2020 – Dignity Health-GoHealth Urgent Care and United Airlines have collaborated to bring Rapid COVID-19 Testing to designated travelers and flight crews at San Francisco International Airport (SFO). Starting today, all U.S. residents traveling on United from SFO to any Hawaiian destination will have the option to take a pre-flight rapid COVID-19 test at the airport. The evaluation and test, which cost $250, provides results in approximately 15 minutes, and gives the passengers and crews greater peace of mind before boarding the flight. GoHealth has been rapid testing select United flight crews since July.
Travelers and flight crews will be evaluated at Dignity Health-GoHealth Urgent Care’s on-site airport testing facility and then receive a Rapid COVID-19 Test with results in minutes. Passengers can book appointments for the same day testing within 3 hours pre-flight. United selected the GoHealth program to help protect the health and safety of its flight crews and its passengers.
“We are continuing to partner with hundreds of employers nationwide to provide solutions and strategies to safeguard their employees’ and customers’ health as they continue to resume normal operations,” said Todd Latz, CEO of GoHealth Urgent Care. “Both GoHealth Urgent Care and our partner, Dignity Health, have enjoyed working together with United, and we look forward to continuing to support them in their proactive efforts to keep travel safer for their flight crews and passengers.”
“Our new COVID testing program is another way we are helping customers meet their destinations’ entry requirements, safely and conveniently,” said Toby Enqvist, Chief Customer Officer at United. “We’ll look to quickly expand customer testing to other destinations and U.S. airports later this year to complement our state-of-the-art cleaning and safety measures that include a mandatory mask policy, antimicrobial and electrostatic spraying and our hospital-grade HEPA air filtration systems.”
