Dr. Philip Lamptey Named Medical Director of Memorial Hermann-GoHealth

Dr. Philip Lamptey has joined Memorial Hermann-GoHealth Urgent Care as Medical Director, overseeing clinical leadership, quality, and operations of its Greater Houston centers.

Dr. Lamptey is a distinguished graduate of the University of Ghana Medical School. He completed his residency in pediatric internal medicine at Hurley Medical Center and holds an MBA from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. Additionally, he is currently pursuing the Safety, Quality, Informatics, and Leadership program at Harvard Medical School.

With over a decade of experience as a hospitalist physician, Dr. Lamptey was instrumental in expanding urgent and virtual care services at Cone Health in North Carolina. He is dedicated to improving patient access and reducing high-cost care.
