Northwell Health-GoHealth Urgent Care Combines its Elwood-East Northport Pediatric and Adult Centers 

Expanding access to convenient care, Northwell Health-GoHealth Urgent Care moved its East Northport pediatric center and Elwood center into one location to serve both children and adults. The new expanded center opened today in the Elwood Center shopping area at 1950 East Jericho Turnpike in East Northport, next to Pet Supply Plus, opened today.  

The new center is Northwell Health-GoHealth’s third pediatric and adult urgent care center, bringing the expertise of Northwell Health providers with Cohen Children’s-credentialed pediatricians to one location to provide care for the entire family. The pediatric center is also among the three Northwell Health-GoHealth locations that were the first in the nation to be presented with the “Autism Friendly Designation” by Autism Speaks.

Like all Northwell Health-GoHealth locations, the new center delivers care for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries, provides on-site X-ray services, and offers COVID-19 testing. The center provides the community with a more affordable option for high-quality and efficient care outside of higher-cost settings such as emergency rooms. It also provides a direct connection to Northwell Health and Cohen Children’s robust networks of expert care.

The pediatric center treats babies as young as 1-week old, children, teens and adults for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries. The Autism Friendly Designation from Autism Speaks signals to the community that team members at the center are committed to providing the highest quality of inclusive service by recognizing and accommodating the diverse needs of people with autism and their families.

The new 4,216-square-foot center features an award-winning design with wood accents, curved surfaces and customer-friendly technology that fosters a comfortable experience for the whole family. Its warm color palette and lighting ensure patients feel a sense of ease and healing at every stage of their visit.

The new center is open 365 days a year, including holidays, providing convenient same-day, late-night and weekend care. Northwell Health-GoHealth centers are a more affordable option for safe and efficient care outside of higher-cost settings like the emergency department for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries.
