Northwell Health-GoHealth Urgent Care’s flagship location moves to brand new center
Northwell Health-GoHealth Urgent Care has made on-demand care more convenient for a fast-growing Queens neighborhood by relocating its services from Forest Hills at 68th to a redesigned and updated center in Rego Park. The new center opened at 8 a.m. today at the lower level of Trylon Tower, on the corner of Queens Blvd and 66th Ave.
Northwell Health-GoHealth Urgent Care has deep roots in the community, having opened its very first urgent care in Forest Hills more than 10 years ago as part of Northwell Health’s larger goal of bringing quality healthcare into New York communities. The public has come to rely on the conveniently located network of centers, which has grown to 61 centers in New York City, Long Island and Westchester County. Queens residents voted Northwell Health-GoHealth “Best of the Boro” for the fifth year in the most recent reader’s choice competition.
“We make expanding access to quality care a top priority. Our first center in Forest Hills at 68th is where we began, so while it holds a special place in our community, we can serve more people by moving just minutes away,” said Neal Shipley, M.D., medical director for Northwell Health-GoHealth. “Now, 10,000 more people live within a half mile of the expert, on-demand care for minor injuries or illnesses at the new Rego Park center and the existing Forest Hills at 71st Street location.”
The 2,868-square foot center in Rego Park provides the same dedicated care that customers appreciate, in an upgraded space. Just a six-minute walk from the previous location and a half mile from the Northwell Health medical center in Rego Park, the center provides a seamless connection to Northwell Health’s robust network of expert care in the region.
The Rego Park location features an award-winning design with wood accents, curved surfaces and customer-friendly technology that fosters a comfortable experience. Its warm color palette and lighting ensure patients feel a sense of ease and healing at every stage of their visit.
As with all Northwell Health-GoHealth locations, the new center delivers care for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries, provides on-site X-ray services, and offers testing for COVID-19, flu, RSV and more. Also available are quick, confidential screenings and care for sexually transmitted infections, as well as Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis to help prevent HIV and promote sexual health. The center offers a more affordable option for high-quality, efficient care outside of higher-cost settings such as emergency rooms.
“Our newly relocated urgent care in Rego Park is yet another example of Northwell Health’s commitment of expanding care by making it more accessible to where patients work,” said Adam Boll, PA, senior vice president, Strategic Business Initiatives, Northwell Health. “In this case, we were already nearby. This smart approach of examining surrounding neighborhoods to see where the best utilization resides reinforces Northwell Health-GoHealth Urgent Care’s longstanding commitment to providing convenient access to urgent care across the New York Metropolitan area.”
Northwell Health-GoHealth centers are open 365 days a year, including holidays, providing convenient same-day, late-night and weekend care. The new Rego Park location is open from 8 a.m. to midnight, at 98-81 Queens Boulevard. Customers seeking care can be seen quickly and easily by walking into any Northwell Health-GoHealth center or by going online to save a spot and pre-register.
