Nuvance Health-GoHealth Urgent Care Opens First Center in Danbury
Nuvance Health-GoHealth Urgent Care opened its newest center today in the western Connecticut community of Danbury, just over two miles from Nuvance Health’s Danbury Hospital.
The new center is conveniently located near the Danbury Fair Mall at 3 Sugar Hollow Road, between Sleep Number and Duluth Trading Co., near Whole Foods.
With the opening of the new center, patients can see a Nuvance Health-GoHealth urgent care provider in their neighborhood for diagnosis and treatment of non-life-threatening illnesses or injuries. When necessary, patients can receive seamless referrals to Nuvance Health’s robust network of primary and specialty care providers.
“Having easy access to affordable, high-quality care is important for maintaining our own health and it’s a key to building healthy communities,” said Dr. Reed Idriss, medical director, Nuvance Health-GoHealth. “Our neighborhood locations ensure the community has access to personalized healthcare services where people live, work and play.”
The Danbury center is the eighth Nuvance Health-GoHealth center and the third to serve Fairfield County. This new center follows the opening of centers in LaGrangeville, N.Y., Carmel, N.Y., North Stamford, Conn. and Norwalk, Conn., with plans to open additional centers in 2024 and beyond.
About the Danbury center
The center features an award-winning design that includes bold colors, wood accents and an open floor plan to foster a comfortable patient experience. The center’s warm color palette and lighting also help to ensure patients feel a sense of ease and healing at every stage of their visit.
The new location provides care for the whole family, offering people aged 6 months and older a wide array of services for conditions including flu, fever, earaches, insect bites, sprains, simple fractures and eye injuries, as well as cuts requiring stitches. It is open every day, including holidays, with regular hours from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week.
