Position Summary:
- Project Planning and Coordination:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and milestones in alignment with organizational goals and objectives
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including developers, engineers, business owners and stakeholders to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables.
- Technical Expertise:
- Possess a deep understanding of healthcare IT systems, EMR, software applications, and infrastructure
- Provide technical guidance and expertise to team members throughout the project lifecycle
- Risk Management and Issue Resolution:
- Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project timelines or quality
- Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address challenges proactively
- Facilitate resolution of technical issues and conflicts, ensuring minimal disruption to project progress
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, milestones, and key deliverables
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment with project objectives and requirements
- Effectively communicate technical concepts and project progress to non-technical stakeholders
- Quality Assurance and Testing:
- Define and implement quality assurance processes to ensure the reliability, security, and performance solutions
- Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and validation activities to verify compliance with regulatory standards and user requirements.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including requirements, specifications, test plans, and progress reports
- Prepare and present project status reports, metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to stakeholders and management
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field
- 5-7+ years in technical project management, specifically within the healthcare industry
- Strong understanding of healthcare IT systems, standards, and regulations
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, ClickUp a plus)
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
