Position Description 
 
As a Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing various technical and process-based projects, supporting the healthcare industry. You will be responsible for ensuring the successful planning, execution, and delivery of projects related to the business need at hand, technology, processes and systems. This position requires a strong blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and ideally healthcare domain knowledge.
 
Position Responsibilities 
 
 
  1. Project Planning and Coordination:
    • Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and milestones in alignment with organizational goals and objectives
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including developers, engineers, business owners and stakeholders to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables.
  2. Technical Expertise:
    • Possess a deep understanding of healthcare IT systems, EMR, software applications, and infrastructure
    • Provide technical guidance and expertise to team members throughout the project lifecycle
  3. Risk Management and Issue Resolution:
    • Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project timelines or quality
    • Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address challenges proactively
    • Facilitate resolution of technical issues and conflicts, ensuring minimal disruption to project progress
  4. Stakeholder Communication:
    • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, milestones, and key deliverables
    • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment with project objectives and requirements
    • Effectively communicate technical concepts and project progress to non-technical stakeholders
  5. Quality Assurance and Testing:
    • Define and implement quality assurance processes to ensure the reliability, security, and performance solutions
    • Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and validation activities to verify compliance with regulatory standards and user requirements.
  6. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate project documentation, including requirements, specifications, test plans, and progress reports
    • Prepare and present project status reports, metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to stakeholders and management

Position Requirements
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field
  • 5-7+ years in technical project management, specifically within the healthcare industry
  • Strong understanding of healthcare IT systems, standards, and regulations
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, ClickUp a plus)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
